Emergency Felling of Cypress (Cupressus) Following Storm Damage
Quick action to ensure the safety of a home. After severe storms passed through, we were called to address a pair of cypress trees, one of which had collapsed, posing an immediate risk. See the before-and-after photos of the site.
What was done
The intervention required a planned response due to the effects of bad weather. Initially, there were two large cypress trees. However, due to the intensity of the storms, one of them gave way at the base and fell toward the wall.
The work was carried out on two fronts: first, we performed the controlled felling and safe removal of the affected tree, cutting it into sections to avoid damaging the wall or the surrounding garden. Second, we assessed the stability of the neighboring cypress tree and decided to leave it on the property since its structural integrity and safety remained intact.
The service was successfully completed, and we effectively resolved the imminent danger caused by the storm. Through this technical assessment and removal, the property was fully protected, and the client was able to preserve one of the healthy trees on their property with complete peace of mind.
