Cleaning of 2 Palm Trees (Washingtonia filifera) Under Power Lines
Another precision job completed. This time, we performed maintenance cleaning and pruning on two large Washingtonia filifera palm trees, with electrical and telecommunications cables running right through their canopies and among the dry leaves. Take a look at the before and after photos.
What was done
The work required surgical precision due to the extreme proximity of the overhead cables belonging to the public utility network. The accumulated dry leaves (the traditional “skirt” of the Washingtonia filifera species) not only created excessive weight but were also in direct contact with the power and telecommunications lines, posing a real risk of short circuits or damage to the infrastructure.
To perform the work in complete safety, our team climbed the trees and carried out the controlled removal of all dry leaves, inflorescences, and accumulated debris. Each section of branches was precisely cut and lowered to avoid any contact with or pulling on the electrical cables or the property’s wall.
The maintenance was successfully completed, restoring the palm trees’ natural appearance and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.
